“Supporting Children with Diabetes”
A few months ago, Life From You Social Services Foundation launched the Diabetes Kids Initiative, aimed at providing mental, social, and recreational support for children with diabetes.
In collaboration with Omega Academy for Mental Health, the foundation organized its first-ever trip for children to the Children’s Museum, a unique event supervised by Dr. Peter Beshara, President of Life From You Foundation. 60 children participated, enjoying a day full of fun and educational experiences completely free of charge.
🎈 What the Day Included:
🕌 A 1.5-hour tour at the Civilization Museum, where children explored the wonders of ancient Egyptian history.
🎮 A fun games session, followed by a workshop on managing behaviors such as stubbornness and aggression in children.
👩🏫 A special seminar for mothers, conducted by Dr. Peter Beshara, discussing the psychological challenges faced by children with diabetes and providing valuable tips for emotional support.
🎁 The day concluded with gifts and toys distributed to the children, bringing joy to their faces.

The Diabetes Kids Initiative is one of the programs we offer to train academy students in applying their psychological studies in real-life situations. This initiative aims to teach them how to interact with children with diabetes and provide support, helping guide and improve their behaviors.
Workshop Day for Children with Diabetes and Their Families
In collaboration with Springs of Hope International (Talitha Kum), Life From You Social Services Foundation organized a special workshop to support children with diabetes and their families.
The event was honored by the presence of Sister Marie Claude, Head of the Good Shepherd Sisters in the Middle East, and Sister Janet, representative of Springs of Hope in Egypt. Darin and Nayer from the Vatican Pontifical Mission Office also attended.
Students from Life From You Academy played an active role in supporting the families and children throughout the event, contributing to the success of this special day.

A lecture on managing aggression in children was held under the supervision and presence of Dr. Peter Beshara, Mental Health Consultant.
The first session was led by Dr. Marian Rose Ramzy, a member of the American Positive Discipline Association, while Coach Michael Fikry conducted a session on Cognitive Distortions.
The event was honored by the presence of His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Areikat and Dr. Marwa Youssef, Media Specialist.
